SSI React Right teaches you how to respond to common emergencies and provide basic first aid. You will learn essential skills including CPR, first aid, and emergency oxygen use. This course helps divers and non-divers build the confidence to respond quickly and effectively in an emergency.
What you’ll do
The SSI React Right program can be completed in 1 day through classroom and practical training. You will learn how to recognize emergencies and assess a situation before providing appropriate assistance. Training includes practical CPR, first aid, and emergency oxygen skills. You will practice these skills through realistic emergency scenarios with guidance from an SSI Professional. After completing the required training, you will be better prepared to respond to emergencies both in and out of the water.
Before you start
- Minimum age: 10 years old
- No previous scuba diving certification required
- Complete the required SSI medical and administrative requirements
