Nyaung Oo Phee
Nyaung Oo Phee Island is a remote tropical diving destination in the Mergui Archipelago, Myanmar. Known for clear blue water, healthy coral reefs, white-sand beaches and relatively untouched dive sites, it offers a more remote and adventurous diving experience.
Where it is
Nyaung Oo Phee is located in the Mergui Archipelago in southern Myanmar, close to the Thai–Myanmar border. Dive trips typically depart from Thailand and require a boat journey to reach the island.
Marine life to see
The surrounding waters offer diverse tropical marine life and healthy coral reefs.
You may encounter:

How many dives you need
Because Nyaung Oo Phee is a remote destination and some dive sites may have current or deeper profiles, having some diving experience is recommended.
Beginner — 10–20 logged dives
Suitable for divers who are comfortable with basic buoyancy, boat diving and open-water conditions.
Intermediate — 20–50+ dives
Recommended for divers who want to explore a wider range of sites and handle changing conditions more comfortably.
Experienced — 50+ dives
